For a project in one of my New Media electives at UNC Asheville, we were tasked with creating a non-linear experience incorporating text, images, animation, audio, and interactive feedback. The interactive aspects of the project needed to enhance the overall experience we aimed to create, with hovering to reveal hidden content a requirement. I chose to immerse users in the world of 'The Folk of the Air’ by Holly Black. Using images sourced from Pinterest representing characters and scenes from the books, along with text excerpts, I crafted an engaging experience where users could explore and interact with the narrative elements.
